We offer 4 handle choices, with shaft lengths ranging between (including handle) 9 inches to 19 inches, except our Staff Handle which is 27 inches. All handles are interchangeable or compatible with all blades. Unless you get a Staff, your handle shaft length is probably the most important consideration when choosing this component.

e-handle
You are viewing an e-handle, with comfort grip.
The e-handle was designed to be used in a hand-shake position, which is the natural position of function for the wrist, forearm, and shoulder, and theoretically, should provide more comfort. It has been more popular with rookies than veterans, as rookies haven't developed years of muscle memory from use of conventional handles. To a rookie, it's more natural. An open minded veteran should adjust to it after a couple days of planting. The grip portion has a 25 degree angle to it, on the horizontal plane. For the most benefit, it should then be configured with a 45+ degree twist, when the shovel is assembled. (see instructions & or perspective view).
Made from polypropylene, and thermoplastic elastomer.
Note to all the hardcore gear junkies; this rubber is more wear resistant than the old D-Grips...
SIZE: Height- 8.75" x Width - 5.2" Functional height (for adding to a shaft size) - 3.75" to 5.75" depending on where on the "sloping" grip you wish to measure. I usually use 4.5" which is near mid way.
